Bobbins and packages can be made specially according to clients' demands.
Poly filament thread has slick face, thin but strong and can create soft backing even on dense designs. Spun polyester thread is mainly used as economical choice. When embroidering on cotton fabrics, cotton thread or cotton/poly corespun thread is still the best choice.
Plastic side bobbins sometimes are smooth and perhaps cause backlash, and cardboard sides can provide more friction to avoid this problem, but plastic sides bobbins are reusable and cardboard sides bobbins are disposable. Bobbins without side are at lower cost than sided bobbins and generally don't take troubles to function of bobbins as long as we clear the bobbin regularly.
Bobbin thread in big packages is provided for economical embroiderers.
